School Closure

22 March 2020 (by admin)

School is closed.

A reminder that school is closed tomorrow for all but those children of key workers and vulnerable children who have no other option.

Those parents who have already been in touch with us and we have agreed that their children can be in school will have received a letter on Friday afternoon and will be on our register of expected children. Please read the letter carefully. When you arrive at school, through the front door, you will be asked to check that your child is on the register and proof of work before you can leave them. If they are not on the register then they will not be able to stay in school. Can we also ask that you observe ‘social distancing’ rules in the office area and around the school grounds. Staff will be on the playground from 8am to allow parents more time to show proof of work and register at the office.

If you have not been in touch yet but feel that you are a key worker or a parent of a child listed by the Government who has absolutely no other option than utilising childcare at the school please contact the school on the following email admin2590@welearn365.com and we will be in touch during school hours tomorrow. Please do not come to the office or attempt to phone.

Government guidance to the schools and instruction to the general public is that children should not be in school. They are safer at home and every effort should be made by the parents to keep them at home. We are aiming to reduce child numbers to minimise the risk to both the children and staff of spreading COVID -19

Thank you for your continued support and understanding. All these actions are necessary to keep the population including your children safe.
