Boughton Leigh Junior School

Inspiring the minds of the next generation

Welcome Boughton Leigh Junior School

For parents of year 2 children we are holding open days on Wednesday 6th November and Thursday 7th November. Please check the Parent Zone/Letters page for more details. Please use the links on the website to download our new app. It's a great way to keep up to date with everything that's happening in school! The school is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and parents to share this commitment. Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school, including 'outside' trainers and warm kit! A reminder that disabled parking bays on site are always in demand. Please do not use them unless you have a blue badge registered in your name. Due to a severe nut allergy we are a ‘nut free’ school, this includes any product containing nuts or trace of.

We’re a tiny, merry band of volunteers and we’d love for YOU to join us!

The PTA is a small, friendly group of parents, grandparents, carers and teachers who organise various events throughout the school year to raise lots of money to fund the "extras" that school is unable to provide through their budget, making our children's learning experience even more fulfilling and exciting.

 Isn’t it all about fundraising?

The PTA is much more than ‘just fundraising’.  The PTA strengthens the link between home and school, bringing staff, parents and children together socially to support the school.  We hold termly discos for the children, bake cakes, serve tea at school events and so much more!  Whatever the event, we work together and have lots of fun along the way.  The PTA is a great way for new parents to make friends.

We are currently fundraising for:

Turning a rather sad looking quad into a vibrant, outdoor learning environment. each of the year groups will have an area to design in a style they feel will inspire them most. We have to replace an old roof area as well as clear and then re-furnish to create a brilliant outdoor classroom! Our target for this project is £5000!b

If you check the school diary you will see our up coming events and it would be great to meet you at one of them for a chat about the PTA, what we do and how everyone of the school community can help!

How Can I Help?

Don't assume you have to come along to every meeting and help out at every event. There is a list of additional helpers, who can't come to the meetings but are happy to help for an hour here or there. No help is too small!
