Choir & Performance Message From Mr G

What a strange end to the term. At this time of the year I am normally recovering from a hectic but entertaining couple of weeks of fairs, choir shows and year 6 leaver’s events that have once again shown what a fantastically     talented group of children (and staff) we have at BLJS. Sadly this year that’s not to be, but I would like to say a  massive thank you to all those who have taken part in the this year’s Young Voices and started work towards what would have been an awesome choir event. I’d also like to thank those members of year 6 who have played such an    important part in performances and the radio club over their time at BLJS.  I wish we had the opportunity to work   together one more time and I hope you will continue to develop and display your performance talents in the coming years! I expect to hear great things about you!

Young Voices 2021 is still in the planning stage and I have received the new music pack of songs. We don’t know yet how or when it will happen but if you’d like to start practicing (or just listen to what we will be performing) then you can visit the YV website and log into the Music Room

and use the passcode YV2021. The new term will bring new challenges with the school following guidance on performances but I can assure you that the shows will go on! Have a peaceful summer break and to years 3, 4 and 5 I look forward to seeing you and working with you in the autumn term; to year 6 good luck, aim for the stars and keep in touch!

Partners across Coventry and Warwickshire are looking to utilise money made available from NHS England to reduce waiting times for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services across Coventry and Warwickshire, therefore as part of the CAMHS Coventry and Warwickshire Local Transformation Plan we plan to commission additional resources in addressing wait times for ASD diagnostic assessments.
In order to obtain views from parents, carers and schools professionals we have created a short 3 question survey on experiences of using the current ASD assessment process for children and young people with their views on future provisions.
